this year we will be doing things a little differently to make games work better and make the field better. all these rules will be in effect when we being regular games in the spring. please take a minute to read through this information. thanks

1.) we will now charge 10$ per person. we do offer discounts to guys who help build, bring stuff for the field, or guys who help SSA in other ways.
College students-5$ off with college ID. (only during regular school year, once summer starts this deal ends)

2.) Kill rags will be required for all players. we will sell rags on the field for 50 cents.

3.) the big change will be with team setup. we will now require all players to bring a Tan and a Green shemagh to every game. we will be selling both colors at the field for 6$ each. you must bring both color shemaghs to each game as teams will change up like we normally play, the only difference is this will reduce team confusion.

this is everything you need to know for tomorrows op.

the game starts at 1030. DO NOT BE LATE OR YOU WILL NOT PLAY! NO EXCUSES
game ends when all objectives are completed, or sundown is close. no set time

ALL AEGS WILL NEED HAND WARMERS FOR YOUR BATTERIES! your gun will die fast in the cold, without a hand warmer on your battery it will die! we have had games where guys think this is exaggerated. then when their battery dies in the first hour they SHUT THE HELL UP. bring them, you will need it.

we will leave the cars and walk into the field. WE WILL NOT RETURN TILL THE OP IS OVER.
this means you will need to bring what ever you need to function throughout the op. food, water, spare gear, whatever.

we will have short breaks in between objectives. enough time to hydrate, and eat something quickly, reload and prep for the next objective.
there will be no time to cook, or prep any elaborate food. power-bars are recommended.

BRING WATER. i know ... Read more »

Game turnout has been low on rain days, and the road has gotten bad enough when wet that we will not let cars in. this means that on rain days the game will be canceled! nice weather will still have airsoft games! but we wont have anything going on any rainy day from now until next spring/summer.

we will have games every Saturday from now until it gets too cold to play.
RAIN OR SHINE! unless the weather is dangerous to play in (tornado warnings, hail the size of baseballs, etc) we will have a game
we start at 10am. ALL NEW PLAYERS must be there at 10am, if you have played with us before come around 11 ready to go. if you need time to gear up come before that.

    the cost is 5$.
first time playing with SSA-you play for free
bring something useful to ad to the field- you play for free
help promote SSA in a good way-you play for free
there are a lot of ways you can get around the 5$ if you really dont want to pay.
and just a reminder this is not profit for SSA, it gets immediately reinvested into field improvements. we dont take a cut. we love... Read more »

Saturday April 16th at 10am we are starting our games for the 2011 season!
FYI there are a few things we are doing this year you need to be aware of.
1.) we are charging 5$ a person. keep in mind this is ZERO profit for anyone at SSA. it all gos directly to the field! i am aware that people dislike this but we are doing a lot of building this year, so we need the money for materials, and upkeep.

BUT you can get free games, heres how.
-Bring a new player- you play for free and so does your friend
-first time playing- you play for free
-carpool with 4 other players- you play for free (just the drive, the other 4 do not unless they are new)
-bring something to contribute to the field-you play for free. wood, rope, nails and screws, netting, etc (must be something worth the free game, bringing a small bored or 5 nails wont cut it. must be a legit item)
-if you have a creative idea to earn a free game, let us know. if its good, you play for free.

    2.) we... Read more »

before i say anything about the work day it is VERY IMPORTANT TO NOTE ITS BASED ON WEATHER! if its snowing, raining, or under 35 degrees, WORK WILL BE CANCELED!

Work days are on Saturday march 12th, 19th, and 26th. they will start at 12 and will go as long as we can.

we have started planing work days before we start up games this year. we would love any help we can get, but of course it is totally optional. work days are a great way to have a say in the fields design. we have a lot of big plans for this year, expanding the area we use to have more diverse games. we cant play at the creek every day after all.

here are some things we hope to accomplish this year.
1.) rebuilding the creek bunkers. winter has not been kind to them, so we will have to touch them up.
2.) setting up more bunkers in the pond area
3.) setting up better boundary's and trails.
4.) our big project t this year will be using all that open space in between the creek and the pond. we... Read more »

Just a reminder to everyone, our annual winter OP is still on for this Saturday at 11am in canandaigua. it is free and we are expecting a good turn out. weather outlook is fairly good. it will likely snow during the game but the temperature will be one degree below freezing, perfect for the winter game.

remember to bring hand warmers for your batteries. even if you dont think you will need them, it really is a good resource to have. there are no time outs in this game, so your problems are on you. and if you cant perform you will be hurting your whole team, so be prepared!

also the way the game is set up involves several location changes. so be ready to walk in the snow. dry socks and water proof boots will be very helpful. if you have any issues with your feet we will make you stop in the interest of safety. after each engagement you will check in with your Squad Leader, either me(Colin) or Jon. and we will issue new orders, and check your condition. if at any time we ...
