No Games for 2014 until a new field is found

i was hoping by now that i would have better news, but unfortunately Shadow Strike Airsoft will not be opening this spring. we have not found a new location at this time. until a new field is found i will be happy to relay any local game invites via this site. just send me a message here with any details. please note that any games i promote here are not SSA sanctioned and anyone who chooses to attend them does so at their own risk. i will continue to look for new locations and would appreciate any leads. thank you all for your continued support.

we are closing down for the season. we are working on a new location at the moment, and will hopefully be open again in the spring.

thank you all for your support and your help with this process. it has been a wonderful 6 years and we hope to continue on in the future.

Games EVERY SUNDAY

we have started our 2013 season a little differently. we will be hosting open games every sunday rather than every saturday this year. still starting at 10am
there is no posted end times, generally its around 4pm but we will continue to play so long as we have enough players staying (generally)

games are still rain or shine, 10$ for the day. free games for veterans or anyone who contributes to the field in some other way.

our age limit will remain at 14 years old. you must have a waiver signed by your parents if you are under 18 years old

NEW PLAYERS MUST BE AT THE FIELD BY 10AM FOR A SAFETY BRIEFING.
this is not optional, you must go through the safety and rule briefing in order to play at this field. it does not matter if you have played at other fields or you are an experienced players. this is MANDATORY.

OP. White Knight 3 POSTPONED!

due to bad weather Operation White Knight 3 will be postponed until march 2nd. sorry for the bad news guys, no one is more upset about this than me. i put a lot of work into this OP, and it will happen. but making this game run smoothly and safely is just too difficult with the weather so bad. i know many of you are disappointed, to make up for the let down we will make our first game of the 2013 regular season free as well.

Operation White Knight 3 Info

Operation White Knight 3 will take place February 9th. the game starts at 9am. all players MUST be there by 9am. the reason for the early time is simply shorter days.
the game is free.

there are a few things that have to take place for the game to go on. if any of these 3 are not met, the game is canceled.
1. weather can not be rain, or excessive snow. light snow or clear skies is ok, but rain or heavy snow will shut us down.
2. temp. must be over 25 degrees. anything below that causes too many problems and heath risks.
3. wind can not be over 20mph. high wind will make this game too difficult to work.

all players must have a few things with them to participate in this game.
1. hand warmers for batteries
2. proper winter gear. if you come unprepared for the weather i may not let you play for safety reasons.
3. water
4. food if you think you will need it.

finally we will be parking on the road and driving gear and people in. that means all guns have to be covered up. gun bags, garbage bags, anything at all that keeps them out of sight. this is important, dont blow this off.

Shemagh rule temporarily suspend

the Shemagh rule that requires all players have a tan and green shemagh is temporarily suspend. it was a little premature to set this rule because we have not built the urban area up to the point where this rule is necessary. we are very close to this goal so the rule will come back. but for now we will not require them. tho we do strongly recommend you have them for games because they are very helpful. we will be selling the remaining shemaghs still, so you can still pick up whatever is left of our inventory.

this means that the fee for games is mandatory for everyone. no more free games for buying shemaghs. that will come back once the rule is reinstated. the good news is college students get 1/2 off entrance fee.

please remember that the "first games free" rule ended last year. sorry but we no longer do that.

Games every saturday- NEW PEOPLE MUST READ!

we are starting our season very early this year because the weather has been so good. here is a look at our basic rules and our game schedule. if your new read it over.

-all new players must be at the field by 10am their first time. this is for our safety briefing. if you are late you will not be allowed to play.
-our age limit is still 14 years old.
-all players must sign a waiver at the field to play. if you print it out ahead of time that would help, but we will have copy's at the field.
-you must have a green shemagh, tan shemagh, and kill rag to play (starting in April,in March its not needed) all 3 will be for sale at each game. 7.99$ per shemagh. if you already have some of it you will not need new ones.
-your first game is free, you still need to buy shemaghs if you do not have them. if your not new your first game of the new year is free but again you need to get the shemaghs.
-we charge 10$ per person. 5$ with a college id (only good until summer vacation, then that deal ends.) free games can be earned by helping SSA in some way. that could mean bringing building materials, bringing new players to the field often, promoting SSA in a useful way, or anything else to contribute to the group.
* all money earned is put into the field. this is not for profit, this is to make the airsoft field better. if you can help with that cause, there is no reason to charge you.
-our fps limits are- AEGs-450 (range restriction at 400) spring snipers -550 FPS (range restriction at 400fps, all snipers over 500 need to be approved by me before using rifles on the field.)
-if we park on the street, please attempt to keep all rifles covered until you reach the field. if you have exposed guns on the street you may be asked to leave.

Game Schedule- ALL GAMES ARE RAIN OR SHINE, nothing cancels games
March
-game/work days every Saturday. FREE GAMES if you come and help out. if you show up late and do not work, you will be charged the 10$ fee.

April
-games will be regular games, possible game/work days if march does not get all the work done.

May-August
-normal games all throughout the season, possible cancellations or changes to be announced.

the rest of the year after this is up in the air, we will see what happens when the time comes.

changes in 2012

this year we will be doing things a little differently to make games work better and make the field better. all these rules will be in effect when we being regular games in the spring. please take a minute to read through this information. thanks

1.) we will now charge 10$ per person. we do offer discounts to guys who help build, bring stuff for the field, or guys who help SSA in other ways.
College students-5$ off with college ID. (only during regular school year, once summer starts this deal ends)

2.) Kill rags will be required for all players. we will sell rags on the field for 50 cents.

3.) the big change will be with team setup. we will now require all players to bring a Tan and a Green shemagh to every game. we will be selling both colors at the field for 6$ each. you must bring both color shemaghs to each game as teams will change up like we normally play, the only difference is this will reduce team confusion.

your first game of 2012 you must buy the shemaghs to play. if you already have one or both colors you do not have to buy anything. also you will not pay the 10$ fee your first game. so if you have a green shemagh you pay 6$ your first game which gets you the Tan shemagh. if you have both tan and green your first game is free.

Why 10$? well cost are high at our field, and we are not getting far with the low 5$ price. so 10$ will help us make the field better, as well as help pay for some of our bigger projects like the deuce and a half. obviously we do not like charging more, but things are not progressing like we had hopped. if 10$ is too much for you, remember that is only for guys who dont pull their weight on the field. if you come help build, or bring a few 2x4s, or something like that you dont have to pay the 10$, just 5$.

this is everything you need to know for tomorrows op.

the game starts at 1030. DO NOT BE LATE OR YOU WILL NOT PLAY! NO EXCUSES
game ends when all objectives are completed, or sundown is close. no set time

ALL AEGS WILL NEED HAND WARMERS FOR YOUR BATTERIES! your gun will die fast in the cold, without a hand warmer on your battery it will die! we have had games where guys think this is exaggerated. then when their battery dies in the first hour they SHUT THE HELL UP. bring them, you will need it.

we will leave the cars and walk into the field. WE WILL NOT RETURN TILL THE OP IS OVER.
this means you will need to bring what ever you need to function throughout the op. food, water, spare gear, whatever.

we will have short breaks in between objectives. enough time to hydrate, and eat something quickly, reload and prep for the next objective.
there will be no time to cook, or prep any elaborate food. power-bars are recommended.

BRING WATER. i know its not hot, but you need to have some water.

this is a military simulation game. we will be much more intense than usual. games will be more open, and rules will be more open. we will not be babying people. come ready to fight, thats what its all about.
