this game was perfect for airsoft! beautiful weather, no gun problems, and a few great games.

we started out with a lot of new players. it was our 2nd game on the new field. but we had a bigger turnout of non regular players. this field has a lot of really nice area, today we played along the creek for the most part.

the game started with a team death match. a team on the low end of the creek vs a team on the ridge (not the high ridge but the mid level ridge) the teams were balanced very well in my opinion, and it was a very intense game. the team on the lowlands used a blind spot in the ridge to force the opposing team out of the cover of the rise in the ridge, and into the lowlands. this tactic worked amazingly for a short time. a flanking run by a few members of the ridge team worked out perfectly, resulting in several kills. firecrackers were used as a distraction at one point for a short push into the lowlands near the new bunker. sadly they did not keep the enemy team pinned for long, and the push was quickly repelled. after a few pushes back and forth, the ridge team finally outlasted the lowlands team and came out on top.

the second game was an attack defend. it was a 4 man sniper team vs an assault team. 2 blot action snipers, 1 m16 sniper, and 1 m14 sniper all limited to semi auto only. 30 minutes to take the hill, 2 respawns for defend team, unlimited for attack team. this game pushed the limits of the everyone involved. bolt action snipers were used for stealth kills, while 2 semi-auto AEGs picked off large numbers of attackers. both flanks of the ridge were pushed on, the attack team used coordinated suppressing fire with fast sprints up hills and from cover to cover. props to Jon. he made it up the steepest part of the ridge, popped up right in front of me, and shot me in the face with his pistol. he was then hit in the face by Chris immediately after. karma? id say so. but after a few great pushes, a few smoke bombs, and a lot of close calls, the defend team won. had the game been a few minutes longer, its likely we would have been overrun. but we were saved by the clock. i think everyone had a good time with this one. it took a lot of teamwork for both teams. it would have been easier if i didnt keep yelling out the wrong flanks. apparently right and left are not my strong points lol.

the next game was a hostage scenario game. i was the hostage, and because we had a large number of people leave it was about a 5 on 4. the team attacking was to rescue the hostage, then escape back to their respawn. the game went ok, but the defending team failed to keep me away from my m14. i slowly inched my way over to my rifle, distracted the guards, grabbed it, and took them out. but the defense team did have success against the attackers, taking out a majority of the attackers very quickly.
once i escaped we decided to end the game without the escape back.

then there was a 3 on 3 game to end out the day with the remaining players. it was a hurry up and wait game, sporadic fire fights mixed in with a few close battles. all and all a good game, but by then most people were just beat. i sat this one out, so if anyone who was there wants to add something feel free. i just got the details from a person who was there.

it was a great game, no problems at all. cant wait for the next game. sadly i will be missing the next one, Jon will run it in my absence.

for the 3 on 3 it was: 1 sniper, 2 assault, vs. 1 sniper and 2 assault, it started out with the snipers out front spotting as many of the enemy as possible, the defending team was on the low ground. when on of the attacking assault disappeared in the very beginning of the game forced the defending sniper to move to the bottom of the ridge in the open, the firing started up when the attacking teams sniper moved on top the ridge and was looking for the enemy but the defending team was too well hidden under cover for him to hit us, then the remaining attacker moved straight up and spotted the open defending sniper and tried to take him out but was hit soon after he started to fire, and then the attacker repeated this and the exact same thing happened, between the repeats the attacking sniper moved up the ridge a little but was taken out, eventually the attacker who had disappeared finally appeared, shooting away at the defending sniper, one of the defending assaulters gave his posistion away and was quickly taken out by the attackers, soon after the sniper was hit and one defender was left to be sniper out

if at first your bbs don't hit them, its time to go full auto

yea i think the games i was there for were pretty evenly balanced and not in one team's favor. Always a good thing. Just proof that me and colin enjoy shooting at each other in order to make the game more fun and balanced

haha yes we dont mind splitting up to make the games work. ill be the first to split up if thats what the game calls for. but i defiantly dont enjoy our encounters on the field. the always end with some crazy moves that end with one of us dieing quickly, and the other talking shit about how it went down for the next few days lol
