Bought friends CYMA AK-47

LOL, all of that stuff I said earlier about the stag-15 that I was going to get is now postponed. My friend gave me a deal for $65 for his (very) used CYMA ak-47. The battery was very low and yet it shot very well and accurately. It also comes with 2 rails, and I got bored so I got some pliers to rip off the orange tip and see if there was a threadeed barrel, and there was biggrin

Now for the cons.......
The part that holds the upper reciever of the ak (its a little rectangular piece) has been lost so I had to tie it on. Also, somebody used gorilla glue on the grip, so me and my friend took about an hour to rip it off and smash it off with a hammer but the job is done. Also, the but plate is missing.

But, all of that is fixable, and once I'm done with it, it may actually look decent! I'll also add a barrel extension to furthermore increase accuracy, get a mag clamp for the 2 mags,a new pistol grip, and possibly (but not likely) rewire it so I can put a peq box in and get a folding stock, instead of a full one.

The cm028 was actually more or less cyma's beginning path on the road to some decent guns. It's pretty solid internally and the externals weren't all that bad for the time being. The body is a bit 'creaky' for my taste but it did hold up alright. It's great for a platform gun like all of cyma's ak line. However, when the externals start breaking I wouldn't put anymore money into it beyond maintenance if I still planned to use it. I'd leave it be, get the most out of it in the condition that it's in now.

Well, I just decided to get a saw pistol grip from airsoftgi. I also got a od green suppressor, a full metal vertical grip, and an echo1 600rd full metal mag.
I decided not to freekin make a whole project on fixing it up but I thought the saw pistol grip looked nice so I got that. I'll probably get this really cool ak that i saw on airsoftgi someday though:)
