An M130 spring should work out fine. I'm pretty sure the General Rules section with fps limits was just copied from the ras website. Last I remember, they weren't 100% accurate, Colin correct me if I'm wrong.
The reason being that it's not just the fps that matters when chronographing a gun. What really matters is actual amount of energy produced in joules which is a combination of bb weight and fps. For example, a sniper shooting 500 fps with .4g bbs is producing over 4J of energy, and a 460fps aeg with .25g bbs is producing almost 2.5J.
Here's the chart with the max limits per bb weight (unless they've been changed)
http://www.shadowstrike.ucoz.com/forum/9-14-1
You can see that even the sniper max fps (500 with .2g bb) doesn't get up to 2.5J.
If you didn't already learn this in a physics class, it's pretty useful information to learn especially for airsoft.
I don't mean to act like I have a problem with high fps
just that limits are limits. But yeah an m130 should be perfectly fine.
Colin, please let me know if the limits ever change, because I'd immediately put my mp5 at 460fps with .25g (510 fps with .2g) muahaha
