Well i am very happy with the way this event went overall. obviously we had our share of gun problems dude to the cold, and not all the objectives went as smoothly as possible but it was all to be expected.

The teams were divided up in the beginning of the day, with most of the regulars on Jon's squad, the Russian shock troopers. and the guys from RIT on my squad, the Spetsnaz.
first we had an attack defend style objective, with my squad attempting to take the crate from the opposing team. we managed to kill a few players throughout the fight, but the opposing side held on to the crate.
the second objective was an attack defend game with the Shock Troopers attempting to get the crate to a set location, while battling the Spetsnaz. after a long wait we realized we were probably getting surrounded. Jon attempted to sneak to one side, the majority of the team went right down the middle, and one more went along the other side. we then tried to outflank them, first by taking out Jon, and then by duplicating their strategy. we sent one player to either side in an attempt to flank them. sadly one was spotted, and the other had a tragic gun malfunction at the last second and was killed before taking the crate. before i knew what happened we were pinned down and executed.
at that point we took a break to check hands and feet to make sure no one was going to lose an appendage from frostbite. and after a longer than usual break we decided to skip the 3rd objective, and just go do a death-match by the creek.
once again the Spetsnaz were eliminated, but most of the casualty's were the result of dead batteries, and weaker weapons. spring pistols Vs AEGs, we had a handicap haha.
we then light off fireworks and ended the game. overall a good day, cant wait for the weather to warm up so we can do it again!

I was watching Surviving the Cut the other day, and got an idea. I think we should do an op centered around EOD.

that was actually the basics of this op. but i can change it around to make it a stationary bomb and have one team be the EOD team, and the other be the bomb defenders or something. is that what you meant?

Sort of. One of the ops they showed was clearing out a weapons stockpile in a village that was littered with booby traps.
