we had a good day despite the rain. we had 10 guys and we did all d-day style games to celebrate the anniversary. (it was actually June 6th but Saturday was the forth so we made it work.)

the first game was an assault the ridge game. the attacking team had to take the ridge, no time limit, no respawns, just take the ridge at all cost. they were under constant fire and firecrackers were used to simulate real gun fire. eventually the defending team ran out of ammo and could no longer hold off the attacking team.

next we went on to a team death match in the creek. both teams went at it in the rain and one team eventually pushed forward and took out the op force. they had a few note worthy movements. a close quarters knife battle with dave and dezz. dave lost. and an epic flank move the got a few guys right at the enemy spawn point. but overall it was a basic death match.

the final game was attacking the base in the field. one team was launching bottle rockets, firecrackers, and flair bombs while an attacking team tried to take the base. we just had fun with this one. we had one fake surrender, he had a knife on him. he killed one player and secured a weapon to use against the attacking team. we also had one suicide bomb. not too effective but still fun.

it was really raining and it was hard to carry on, but most of us did. it was a lot of fun.

Well, it was rainy, my car got dirty, it took me an hour to clean the mud off my gun and sight, and I got some sore spots the day after, but just the same, I'm really glad I came to the game. biggrin

Also, after the end of the first game, I thought I lost my goggles. I went back to the last game's spawnpoint, couldn't find it, and went back to the truck. My goggles were about two feet behind the truck, in the grass. But then, I thought I'd lost my gun and gun case. I looked everywhere in the truck, front to back, and finally looked in the area immediately around it. The gun and case were about 10 feet in front of truck. Needless to say, I'm not very good at keeping track of my stuff. dry

Just put a lanyard on each of your valuables, lol. Yea, that wouldn't work that well though =P
