| today called for rain. but it did not rain at all, so we lucked out. we only had 5 guys, usually disappointing, but it turned into a great game.
2 of our players were new, so we had a standard team death match in the creek area. it went pretty well, but it was very slow paced because of the small numbers. 2v3 game that took about an hour or so. less than half way through, daves gun died. leaving me v 3 guys. Dave returned using Jon's sniper rifle. he took out one guy, but was not very effective against 3 AEG's at close range. eventually the 3 team was down to just Tom. Tom ran out of ammo, and made an epic attack using a sick. it failed, but it was interesting to see for sure.
next we did an attack defend game at SAT-COM Delta. again 3 v 2, really a good game. we had a few pushes against the base, but we were pushed right back. eventually it was down to just Tom (notice the pattern lol). Tom held off the 3 attackers as long as he could, but was eventually taken out by a mixture of lack of ammo, and a safety kill. but he did survive longer than most do at that post.
finally we had a quick VIP game. i played the VIP, my job was to get from SAT-COM Delta, to the truck located at the creek path. Tom and one of our new players were defending me, vs Dave and another new player. i could only use 20 shots from my G36, then it was knife only. Dave struck first, taking out Toms, and the new guys legs, but missed me. i used up all 20 rounds right away and was left with just a knife. i went into the tree line, and slowly made my way forward. a conversation broke out between the now wounded Dave, and the wounded new guy about whether losing a leg counted as out (it doesnt.) but the conversation bought me enough time to get close to Dave. before he knew what hit him, my knife hit him. first throwing knife kill of the year, but who is surprised about that? it is me after all. haha the new guy who was meant to be securing the VIP finally turned up behind my team, shooting the 2 dead players. this gave me all the time i needed to make the mad dash to the truck. ending the game.
overall id say this was my favorite small game of the year. and it didnt rain at all! i dont know why no one came, it was a beautiful day.
so let the excuses begin. im dieing to hear them all. lol
