| Maxed out around 22-24 players.
1st game was a typical deathmatch warmup game. The rock team started with the majority of its players going down the center while i led a team of 4 down the left. Even with the left side locked down past the midway point the center was pinned down farther back from the other team that took position by the bunkers by the ridge. After I was taken out on the left the opposing team began to slowly advance down the creek. The opposing team ended up winning that game
2nd game was a VIP hostage game. Colin was the VIP while I led the 5 body guard team. Once we got Colin to Satcom the other team began to slowly eliminate the bodyguards and after the last bodyguard (me) died the reserve forces were called in. After some covering fire from the seal team the rest of their team moved back with colin to a farther back tree line. The reserve forces moved too slowly to secure satcom and revive down forces. After our forces got pinned trying to move down the hill towards where the opfor was last seen moving. Me and mike with covering fire from the rest of the team broke off left to flank the opfor. As soon as we turned in and began eliminating forces time was called so the seal team won. Later I found out that the seal team wanted us to move towards the bend in the path so that hidden elements on the reserve forces right side would ambush us.
3rd game was attack and defend at satcom 6 defenders vs 15 attackers I coordinated the attacking team so this game went pretty quick because of the cooperation of the attackers. First we had a charging team led of course by eric the moved foward quickly and laid down covering fire so a squad could swing left and another squad swung right. Next we had left and right squad lay down covering fire so the center squad could move forward and we alternated that way until we cleared the bunker. Basically I think our attack was faster than they expected so they couldnt ready forces at the next bunker and we quickly cleared the last two bunkers. I was also safety killed this game by a sniper 5ft away from me
4th game was an attack and defend at satcom 8 defenders vs 13 attackers. The same strategy was attempted but this time right at the bend we came under fire so we had everyone pull back and eric led a squad out of range to swing left. After what I assume was a decent enough time to have them focused on watching eric I led the charging squad to move up the center to provide covering fire for everyone else to come around the curve to get in position. Then we had a standstill where the left flank was being taken out and center was pinned so I moved to the left to provide assistance to the left flank while center kept the bunker occupied. Then I realized I had a clean shot on 3 of the defenders so once those 3 were taken out the center began to move up and eliminate the rest of them. This time after taking the bunker the opfor had time to set up defenses so the attack on those two bunkers was a little slower. My awesome moment was moving up to the wooden house and noticing an arm coming out right when i was running so i dove to the left and the guy behind me who had his gun at the ready took out the guy who attempted to come around the corner at me. the last bunker i ended up crawling right to the wall with my pistol and safety killing the last guy.
5th game was a 7v7v8 game. I had team 2 and we started with the rock spawn point. Our medic was the first one taken out with a random flyer so we just held position until the merged team 1 and 3 moved up to eliminate everyone. Input is welcome for the 5th game because i was sitting on the rock in the back, dead so I saw no details of this game
6th game was another deathmatch to end the day. Everyone was tired and moving slowly for this game so the advance was slower than usual. My team threw a smoke that had a 5 min emitting time and eventually it was harder to see the left side of the field which is where i got two precision headshots with my sniper threw the smoke but yet i still couldnt hit mike from where i was. after being taken out mike's team moved up and eliminated the rest of my team. Though my team had a few guys with no ammo and eli using a stick to simulate a rifle so he would make people take cover
overall a good day for airsofting

| the 5th game was a bit too chaotic. i have found that this game is fun with a mid sized group (under 20) but with a group that size its hard to manage and keep up with it. also i need to work out the team rules to make it less confusing.
but the game started with the team in the middle, team 1 (my team) deciding to focus the bulk of their forces on taking out one team at a time. we decided to take out team 3 then focus all the attention on team 2. this failed when team 2 had a few guys quite the game due to the fact that they were dead, and shot several times after death (on of the flaws with both this game, and not using a kill rag) but it happens. so they walk out in anger and left for the day. then somehow team 3 turned the tied of the battle, and absorbed team 1 instead. we then moved to attack team 2 who had not moved from their positions because of their medics death. they were killed after a heavy firefight on the small ridge line. pretty intense game, lot of problems to fix. not as fun as last time i played it but they cant all be perfect.

| You know, I was pretty confused about game 5 too, but perhaps my own experience could at least add a piece to the puzzle. I was on team 3. After getting to the spawn point and waiting a good 10 minutes for the other teams to get ready, the start signal was given. One person said "We shouldn't charge" and another said "CHARGE!", so I decided to compromise and charge only to a small bunker of cover rather close to the start point, but embarrassingly, got shot about 10 feet from it. A similar thing happened to a person on my left (sorry, I still only know about 5 peoples' names here, and it wasn't one of those people). I was in the line of fire of a person on team two (one of the guys with long, frizzy hair) so the medic couldn't safely get to me. But eventually the medic got close, within about 10 feet, and rather than touch me, he just called to me and said "you're in". Then the medic disappeared somewhere, with mechanical problems I assumed, and someone said "you're the medic now." I said "Sure, whatever" and began assimilating downed Team 2 players into the Team 3 collective (actually touching them, not getting close and shouting at them) which had recently got out. With a new, revitalized, and powerful Team 3, the poor start already forgotten, I advanced beyond the team 2 starting point, but drew fire when I got close to another downed player. By now another medic had appeared, and crawled forward like a salamander. Though we both kept getting hit, we both just kept reviving each other, and he was eventually able to assimilate the downed team member. At this point, despite going pretty much the whole day with only minimal fogging, my goggles started fogging up, and I have only the vaguest impression about what happened in the last 10 minutes of the game.
Anyway, other input on game 5 could help create a clearer picture of how exactly the game went down, but I have two other thoughts: 1. After being the second person out in game 1, spending much of game 2 wounded but too close to enemy fire to be revived, and the bulk of the first part of game 5 out of action, it's obvious that in the games where I didn't have unlimited lives, my watchword should be caution. Of course, the games with many or unlimited lives are a different story (I remember being part of a house assault in the Victor location where quite a few of my teammates, teenagers mostly, had unlimited lives but were still overly cautious despite it being a timed game), but I really made some foolhardy mistakes in these games. 2. I motion that the type of game played in Game 5 be officially retitled as "Borg Assimilation" Added (2011-09-12, 9:35 PM) ---------------------------------------------
Quote (Demon) Once we got Colin to SatCom the other team began to slowly eliminate the bodyguards and after the last bodyguard (me) died the reserve forces were called in.
In the words of one worm from the game Worms Armageddon, "What are you, nuts?" I'm almost positive that in the pre-game briefing, it was said that the bodyguards would call in the reserves as soon as they engaged the enemy, not wait until everyone's dead and their VIP captured to do it.
I can just imagine: Bodyguard 1: We're taking fire! They outnumber us 3 to 1! Should we call in backup from the nearby reserve base? Bodyguard 2: No, let's wait until we're all dead, AND THEN call the reserve base. VIP: FGSFDS!
I was part of the Reserve team, and we were all pretty much scratching our heads when we got to SATCOM and saw all the bodyguards down. I assumed, and I'm sure others did too, that the body guards were taken down quickly in the 2 minutes between the call and when we got there, and that the assailants were nearby, not that the bodyguards had inexplicably waited until the last minute to call for help.

| the seal team didnt exactly slowly take out the body guards, it only took like 1 minute before they were down, and the game purposely set it up so that the VIP wouldn't call for back up until we were about to capture him, this way, the seal team didnt have to go and fight the reserve army and capture the VIP at the same time.. cus ya know.. 8 on 15 is always fair..
if at first your bbs don't hit them, its time to go full auto

| yeah 8v15 is hard, but add the fact that i was slowing them down, and holding up their plans, and having at least one guy babysit me at all times while the whole team constantly checked on me, and you have a very difficult job as it is. i did not want to make that any harder on them. it was my call and i stand by it. the game ended up being very fun, not quick and pointless. so i say it was good.

| Well, there's a big difference between "the other team began to slowly eliminate the bodyguards" and "the seal team didnt exactly slowly take out the body guards, it only took like 1 minute before they were down". If the latter is the case, then there's really very little difference between the reserve being called before or after the last bodyguard was eliminated, because of the short time between first engagement and final elimination. If the former's the case, then the bodyguards did their job of holding off a superior force, and should have called for backup and been reinforced instead of simply waiting until they inevitably were overrun.
