| Oh, ok. Well, I have been looking for the past 2 hours for something and I am still not satisfied with what I'm finding :/ The only thing that looks like it is assembled great and I want (so far) is the m60/m249. I know if I got one though, I would go though $1000 in bb's in less then a year, lol.

| Nah, doubt it. Those support weapons are going to have a rate of fire around 10 bbs a second. Using up those giant 5k round box mags can be pretty slow going without any upgrades.

| lol, I was being a little sarcastic with the $1000 of bb's. xD But I do a lot of target practice Alright, when I first started looking for a gun, I said mp5 and now I found a great looking mk5A5. Close enough, lol. http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=4480 It comes with 2 gear boxes, which is awesome, and two hi cap magazines! It also has an RIS system! I know that performance hobbies sells mostly echo 1 products, but in your guys opinion, how is echo 1? Also, what are some good battery options for this gun. Also, I'm aware that I can get a new stock if it breaks, but are there any metal ones (ik it may not be as comfortable? And having the gearboxes out of the gun, would that be bad for it. Kinda stupid question, but whatever. And, lets say I don't want a box battery that is on the outside of the gun? Could I get a 'normal' battery for it that goes inside of it? Also, one more I am looking into. The G&G Full Metal GR-16 R4 . It looks awesome with an RIS rail system and 350 fps. http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=3434 and http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=3029 I think I should get the full stock, since the battery would probably in there, but I'll figure that out later, if I choose this one. Ok, so whats your guys opinion on G&G. They look excellent, but just want to make sure. LOL, sorry about all of the questions guys, but I don't wanna spend a hunk of my money to get a piece of crap. None of us do. Best wishes, and thanks for all of the help, Shane

| Echo 1 just rebrands guns such as cyma or jg, slap some trademarks on it, add a warranty, and sometimes a spring change.. So they are china made guns, but on typically on the higher end of chinese guns. I'm not 100% sure which brand the master series is, I think it's cyma. The quick change gearbox is an interesting idea, but personally I still wouldn't pay over $200 for a clone and the master series is over $300. The link you posted of the mp5a5 can only fit the battery inside the peq box. This tends to make the gun a little front heavy especially without a full stock to balance it out. Peq boxes can also get in the way sometimes. There's also an mp5a4 (full stock) version of the master series with the battery in the stock. http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=139_24_200&products_id=4481 No, the real mp5 stock is not 'full metal' either. The rails are metal, but the cap that goes over the rear of the gun is plastic as well as the very end of the stock. The nice thing about the jg/echo 1 stocks is that they're pretty comfortable with the added rubber on the end. Honestly if you treat your guns well, I doubt you'll break the collapsible stock. I've never broken one of mine. As for the gearbox being out of the gun, there's nothing wrong with that. Maybe put it in a separate box to help keep dust out just in case. As for the peq box, the answer is no you can't fit the battery anywhere else unless you buy this: http://www.trinityairsoft.com/p-1232-echo-1-risras-battery-foregrip.aspx but it's not all that strong and can only fit an 8.4v 1100mah battery. If you really wanted an mp5, I'd go with the new ICS one that just came out (they look much better without all that orange on the tip) http://www.airsplat.com/Items/ER-ICS-MP5-18.htm http://www.airsplat.com/Items/ER-ICS-MP5-19.htm There's also a 3rd version, mp5a4, coming soon if it's not out already. They come standard with safe-semi-3rd burst-auto, 2 mags, a metal body and not to mention high quality parts from ICS of course. No battery/charger but that gives you a chance to get something of good quality. G&G guns are great in general, if you like the look, I'm sure you won't be disappointed with performance. As for battery options, they both go in the stock. One is a crane style, the other fits in the full stock.

| yeah this is really kinda late on this topic but... generally on a higher brand aeg like kwa or ics anything thats metal on the real steel is metal on the airsoft version so your not getting cheated with a probably high grade polymer stock on a sig 552 or mp5 or g36 variant.

| WELL, I would have seen it sooner but my internet was fried for the past 2-3 weeks, but it is finally fixed. Well, anyways thanks for the origonal comment Eli, and any reply is never too late. I'm glad ics puts quality into their products. On a side note unrelated to this topic, I was stupid and accidently put on the saftey on when I had pulled the bolt on my rifle and was also holding down the trigger, and it put it into a forever saftey or something. So, I had to take it apart, fittle around with it, but in the end, I fixed it and it actually works better now than before. Added (2011-02-26, 8:46 PM) --------------------------------------------- LOL, after the long months of search, I have found a fairly priced AEG rifle. The SR-25 http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=7641 It is $250, shoots 420 fps with .2g bbs I'm assuming, and is full metal. It also has an RIS system which I am assuming is metal (confirmation would be great), a grip(probably plastic and very breakable) and a full stock. And it even has a manual, hopefully with pictures :).I am thinking of possibly replacing the full stock with a bone stock, but I bet that is where the battery goes, but I would purchase that AFTER I got the gun anyways, so it doesn't matter. But, all in all, its a full metal sr-25 that is a great fps, not to fast or slow, has an ris which can be around $120-150 if you buy a good one separately, and it even looks great.

| one big thing to mention is that FPS means nothing about a gun. you can have a gun shooting 600FPS, but can still be a POS gun. full metal means anything that would be metal on the real gun is metal on this gun. so the RIS is metal. also dont factor in after market parts when looking at a gun. if you want a good gun, you want a gun with a good gearbox, not a gun that looks cool. the more money you spend on the extra bells and whistles, the less you spend on the actual working parts of a gun. a good gun is base on internal parts 1st, external parts 2nd. that being said, the gun doesnt look bad at all. just make sure you really want it. because it is a more unique rifle, meaning harder to upgrade, and harding to find accessory for. things like extra mags are going to add up.

| Well said Colin. Shane, metal does not mean unbreakable and plastic does not necessarily mean easily breakable. There are all kinds of metals and most companies tend to use a pot metal which is just a mix of cheaper metals such as zinc/aluminum. If they chinese companies made \decent quailty aluminum bodies that would be awesome.. but they don't. Some pot metals are so cheap that they crumble away like dust, especially in cold weather. It's far easier for a chinese company to provide a decent quality plastic at a low price than a decent quality metal at a low price. There are some extremely strong plastics out there, so keep that in mind. Now I'm not saying that the metal on this gun is crap, just keep in mind it's nothing outstanding. When you see a full metal JG armalite you can expect the the UPPER receiver is metal, the outer barrel/delta ring assembly, and probably the RIS as well. If you want upper and lower metal receivers, there are few companies that sell guns like that, kwa being one of them I believe. Personally I wouldn't pay even $200 for a JG, or maybe not for any clone gun unless it were an unusually large or rare model. It really depends on how much you really want an sr-25. You can easily get a cheaper armalite with the same performance and just add the optic to get a similar look. Though I'm not an armalite junky (I'm sure armalite fans would call me insane), but that is probably why I don't care to see much of a difference between ar/sr and other armalites

| LOL, I think I'm just going to go with the Echo 1 ics full metal m4-a1. I know, I know, echo 1 sucks. It's wierd that it also has ics in the name though on the box not sure what that means. But anyways this gun, my best friend owns, and I have seen the inside of it when we had the project of fixing it because his friend broke it (not the guns fault, he smashed it on the ground and screwed up some screws and got a 6.08 mm bb stuck int there), but anyways, everything inside it looked solid, nothing plastic, and everything looked to be in place. Also, the WHOLE body (upper and lower reciever) is, I'm pretty sure, aluminum, and feels great. It also shoots very well and accurately. Also, later, I'll add on an ris unit once i get enough money to do so. Possibly a bone stock if I want to fool around with that. But all in all, with my experience with that gun, rof gets an 8/10, accuracy gets a 9/10, and build gets a 10/10

| Quote (Shane) I know, I know, echo 1 sucks. Not really, they sell perfectly fine entry level guns. I just wouldn't pay out the roof for one of them, keep budget guns to budget costs. They're definitely better quality than a lot of guns coming out of China. You shouldn't be intimidated by people who can afford the higher end $300+ guns. Just buy something of decent quality for your price range and more than likely it will serve you well.

| iv seen guys destroy with crossman guns. again you made the mistake of looking at irrelevant numbers. first FPS=nothing in the long run, and second Price=nothing if you have skill or understanding of the weapon you have. dont stress things like $ value of a gun, or how high the fps is. get something you can rely on, something you will enjoy, and something that will work for your needs. that will be FAR more effective than having the hardest hitting, highest price, completely impractical gun.

Yeah, I didn't mention fps for that m4, it shoots fairly far, fast(rof),hard, and accurate. I'm not sure what irrelevant numbers I'm talking about, because I didn't mention fps nor price. Quote (Disposable-Hero) dont stress things like $ value of a gun, or how high the fps is. get something you can rely on, something you will enjoy, and something that will work for your needs. that will be FAR more effective than having the hardest hitting, highest price, completely impractical gun Yes, and that is why I am choosing the m4-a1 Quote (fuzzywuzzy) Not really, they sell perfectly fine entry level guns. Yeah, when I said echo 1 sucks, I meant more along the lines of their reputation and being from china.
