the scenario-
takes place in country of Columbia, known for corruption and crime. the year is 2011. freedom fighters fight government troops, drug lords operate out of every major city, and armed conflicts are frequent. a war  between Venezuela and Columbia has just ended. the Columbia government has been losing control. they are at the edge of civil war. the united states has been watching the situation closely and recently started covert strikes. the strikes are to stop rouge Columbia military units, drug cartels, and terrorist groups in an effort to bring stability to the region.

the Mercs are operating at a remote outpost far away from any major citys. intelligence for local freedom fighters alerts the CIA about the outpost. it is filled with highly paid and very talented soldiers for hire. this is why they send the USMC team in to scout out the area, and gather more intelligence. deadly force has been approved, but only if necessary.
